These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding legal agreement between you ("User", "Buyer", "Merchant") and Mene Marketplace Technologies Ltd. By accessing our website, creating an account, or transacting on the platform, you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Account Registration & User Roles
Users may register as either a Buyer or a Seller / Merchant. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate contact information.
- Buyers: Entitled to browse listings, initiate price offers, and purchase items backed by 100% escrow protection.
- Sellers / Merchants: Authorized to post legitimate listings, operate a verified digital storefront, accept escrow orders, and receive bank payouts upon successful delivery.
2. Listing Guidelines & Merchant Obligations
Sellers must ensure all listed products and services are authentic, accurately represented, and available for immediate inspection/delivery. Prohibited activities include:
- Posting counterfeit, stolen, or refurbished goods as "Brand New".
- Demanding direct bank transfers outside of Mene.ng's official Escrow system.
- Manipulating prices or creating fake buyer reviews.
3. Boost Packages & Value-Added Services
Merchants may purchase listing promotions (e.g. Category Boost, Urgent Deal, Homepage Spotlight) to increase buyer visibility. Fees paid for boost packages and verified subscription tiers are non-refundable once activated.
4. Referral & Ambassador Program
Referral bonuses are paid to reward authentic word-of-mouth growth. Fraudulent self-referrals, automated bot registrations, or artificial account creation will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of earned wallet rewards.
5. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any legal disputes arising out of platform use that cannot be resolved through internal arbitration shall be submitted to the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
